Child Safety Standards Policy

Mongul (the mobile application and related services listed on Google Play as Mongul, together with mongul.io and our websites—the "Services")

Last updated: April 30, 2026

Introduction

Mongul is committed to a safe environment for everyone who uses our Services. This Child Safety Standards Policy ("Policy") is our publicly available statement of standards regarding child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). It applies to all users of the Mongul app and related Services.

This Policy is designed to align with widely recognized child safety expectations, including those reflected in industry frameworks such as the Tech Coalition's child safety standards, and with applicable laws. It works together with our Terms of Use, Trust & Safety / FAQ, and other community rules.

Definitions

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) includes conduct that sexually exploits or endangers minors, including grooming, sexual extortion, trafficking or enticement of minors for sexual purposes, and related harmful conduct directed at minors.

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) means imagery, video, audio, live streams, or other material that sexually exploits or depicts minors in a sexual context, including computer-generated or synthetic depictions where applicable under law.

Minor means a person under the age of majority in their jurisdiction or under the minimum age required to use the Services under our Terms of Use, whichever applies.

Published standards — prohibition of CSAE

Mongul explicitly prohibits CSAE and any content or conduct that facilitates harm to minors.

Without limitation, the following are strictly forbidden on the Services:

  • Sharing, requesting, producing, or distributing CSAM in any form;
  • Grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, or sexualization of minors;
  • Trafficking, enticement, or exploitation of minors for sexual purposes;
  • Threats, coercion, or extortion involving minors or CSAE;
  • Using the Services to arrange or facilitate illegal contact with minors;
  • Any other abusive, illegal, or exploitative conduct toward minors.

Zero tolerance: Violations may result in immediate content removal, permanent account termination, device or identifier blocks where appropriate, and referral to law enforcement or designated reporting bodies as required by law.

Reporting and in-app user feedback

Mongul provides in-app mechanisms for users to report suspicious, harmful, or policy-violating behavior and content, including concerns related to child safety. Users should use those tools as the primary way to flag issues inside the app.

You may also contact us by email (see Child safety point of contact) or via our contact page. Please include as much detail as you can safely provide (e.g., usernames, timestamps, descriptions) to help us investigate.

We review reports in line with this Policy and applicable law. Actions may include removing content, restricting or suspending accounts, preserving records where legally required, and escalating to authorities when appropriate.

CSAM — detection, removal, and escalation

Mongul does not tolerate CSAM. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or credible reports that indicate CSAM, we act promptly to remove or disable access to such material from our Services, consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

We maintain internal processes to assess reports, preserve legally required evidence, and coordinate responses across trust and safety and technical teams as needed.

Where required by law, and in line with our obligations, we report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or to the appropriate regional or national authority for your jurisdiction (for example, designated hotlines or law enforcement channels), and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
